About Us
Our law firm has deep roots in South Dakota. John Zimmer established the firm following his association with the Bogue family who had been practicing law in Parker, South Dakota, since the early 1900’s. The Hon. Andrew W. Bogue (1919-2009) served as a state court judge, and then as a federal district judge for almost forty years.
John Zimmer’s outstanding legal career included an extensive personal injury and insurance defense practice along with an extremely active and successful government relations (lobbying) practice. One of his best known clients was the Homestake Gold Mine.
Dennis Duncan joined the firm in 1974 and has practiced extensively in the area of governmental relations (lobbying), insurance defense, civil litigation as well as representing numerous clients before agencies and departments of state and local government in the State of South Dakota.
Jeff Cole joined the firm in 1992 and focuses his practice on personal injury, civil litigation, ERISA cases, and criminal defense. Jeff was elected twice as State's Attorney.
Drew Duncan joined the firm in 2003, and focuses his practice on governmental relations (lobbying), criminal law, health insurance law, personal injury, and family law.
Dan Brendtro joined the firm in 2009. He has an active business litigation practice and serves as outside general counsel to a number of local businesses.
Our firm has offices in Sioux Falls and Parker.
