Q: Why should I worry about distracted driving?

A: Besides the inherent danger of driving while you are distracted (In 2008, 5,870 people were killed in crashes involving driver distraction, which is 16% of total fatalities), there are also serious liability issues that should concern you.  Imagine you are involved in a car accident.  There is evidence that you were texting while driving, while the other driver was driving as a reasonable person would.  Who do you think the “at-fault” driver is going to be?  More than likely, it will be the distracted driver.
