A man involved in a single-vehicle wreck in Iowa passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011, in Sioux Falls. The man lived in Ocheyedan, Iowa.
Benjamin Perry, 31, was driving a 1999 GMC Suburban on Thursday northbound on Harding Avenue, north of Rock Rapids, IA, when he lost control of the vehicle around 5:40 p.m.
According to police, the Suburban rolled numerous times, coming to a stop on its roof. Perry, who may not have been wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle in the violent crash.
Perry was taken to Sanford Rock Rapids by ambulance. He was later transferred to the hospital in Sioux Falls, where he died shortly after 5 p.m., almost exactly three days later.
Our sympathies go out to all of those affected by this tragic accident.
