A South Dakota car wreck on Interstate 90 east of Belvidere, SD killed one person. The accident happened on Saturday, March 26, 2011.
According to South Dakota Highway Patrol, 54-year-old Georgia resident Paul Pierce was driving west on I-90 when he tried to pass a snow plow.
Pierce apparently hit a patch of slush on the road and lost control of his vehicle. The car flipped over, injuring Pierce in the process.
Pierce was able to place a cell phone call after the wreck, but quickly became unresponsive. He later died in a nearby hospital.
