A single-vehicle motorcycle wreck in Sioux Falls occurred on Sunday, May 15, 2011, leaving an area man in critical condition. The wreck happened just after 6:30 p.m.
According to police, an unidentified 25-year-old motorcycle rider was driving on Ralph Rogers Road when he lost control of his bike, hitting the curb and being flung from his seat.
The man, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown into a tree on a lawn near the road. He remained in the person's yard until receiving treatment for what police called life-threatening injuries.
The man's name has not yet been released. Police have said neither what they think caused the accident nor whether alcohol or excessive speed played a role.
