A dramatic South Dakota car accident occurred on Thursday, May 19, 2011, when an out-of-control driver went off the road, down an embankment, and into a farmer's field. Luckily, the driver didn't sustain serious injuries.
The only serious damage done in the crash, besides to the driver's bumper, was to the farmer's fence.
Witness Todd May said, "Here I seen this black car tearing across the alfalfa field over here and she must have been doing 50 to 60 miles an hour, dragging about 20 to 30 foot of fence behind her."
The 23-year-old woman who lost control of her vehicle north of the airport walked away with only bruises and scratches.
We are glad that no one was seriously injured in the wreck. If the fence is looking for a South Dakota personal injury attorney, we hope it knows to call (888) 733-2992.
Police are still looking into the accident.
