Light, wet snow fell in Sioux Falls, SD on Friday, March 25, 2011, making roads slippery and causing numerous car crashes.
At least five cars were involved in a multi-vehicle accident on I-29 just north of the 26th Street exit. The accident occurred just before 7:30 in the morning.
Another accident happened on 26th Street and Sycamore on the east side of Sioux Falls. The Cliff Avenue hill south of I-229 was supposedly extremely slippery, but no notable accidents were reported.
We urge all of our readers to use extreme caution when driving in slippery weather. South Dakota car accidents can be the result of not doing so, and we're not quite done with winter conditions yet.
