A Yankton man died after his vehicle struck a field approach and rolled, throwing him from the car. The man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the South Dakota wreck.
Five miles north of Irene, Patrick Michael Bohlmann, 43, was driving a 1993 Ford Explorer that left the roadway at 452nd Avenue and 292nd Street. He was already dead when the police arrived.
Nobody else was in the vehicle with him. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
Our sympathies go out to the family and friends of the deceased and we again remind our readers of the dangers of not wearing seat belts.
